Javed Saifullah Khan (Sitara I Imtiaz) : Chairman

Javed Saifullah Khan is the Chairman of Saif Holdings Ltd - the holding company of the Saif Group. He is also the Chairman of major Group companies including Saif Power, Transworld Associates, Saif Textile Mills and Kohat Textile Mills. Mr. Khan joined the Saif Group of Companies in 1973. Since 1980 he has managed the Saif Group and has been responsible for promoting new ventures in high technology business sectors, thereby transforming the Group into the diversified conglomerate it is today.

His deep and comprehensive expertise of Pakistan’s corporate sector and his dedication to successfully attracting foreign direct investment into Pakistan was recognized by the Government of Pakistan when he was awarded the prestigious Sitara I Imtiaz on the 23rd of March 2007. Currently, Mr. Javed Saifullah Khan continues to serve on the Board of Investment for the Government of Pakistan, the Board of Directors for Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited (Mobilink) and as a Senior Advisor to the Galen Capital Group LLC (USA). In April 2009, Mr. Khan and a select delegation of corporate leaders were designated as Pakistan Business Ambassadors to the USA.

Mr. Khan has also served as the Central Chairman (two terms) All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA), Member Task Force - IT & Telecommunication Advisory Board of the Ministry of Science and Technology and Executive Committee Member - Pakistan Petroleum Exploration & Production Companies. Mr. Javed Saifullah Khan graduated with a BA in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University and went on to receive his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1973.

Anwar Saifullah Khan : Co-Chairman

Anwar Saifullah Khan joined the Civil Service of Pakistan in 1970. During his years in government service, he held key field and staff appointments including Deputy Commissioner of Mardan and Kohat Districts. He served as Consul General of Pakistan in Montreal, Canada from 1980 to 1984. He resigned from the Civil Service in 1984 to join the Saif Group. In the general elections of 1988 Mr. Anwar Saifullah Khan was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan.

Following the 1990 General Elections, he became a Senator and served in the Senate of Pakistan until March 1997. During his service as a public representative, Mr. Anwar Saifullah Khan held the following Cabinet positions :

  • Federal Minister for Environment and Urban Affairs (1991 to 1993)
  • Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources (1994 to 1996)

Anwar Saifullah Khan holds an MA in Political Science from the University of Peshawar, an MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Christ Church – the University of Oxford and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California.

Mrs. Hoor Yousafzai : Director

Mrs. Hoor Yousafzai joined the Saif Group in January 2007 as a Director in Saif Holdings. Her areas of responsibility include the Corporate Taxation and Regulatory Compliance of the Group, while also assisting the Chairman and Co Chairman in Strategic Planning and Project Evaluation.

In addition to holding a Master's Degree in Economics and Computer Sciences, she is Associate Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ACA) and has undergone extensive training with KPMG.

Mrs. Hoor Yousafzai brings with her the valuable knowledge, skills and insight gained as a result of her experience with KPMG.

Osman Saifullah Khan : Director

Osman Saifullah Khan is the director of Saif Healthcare Limited and CEO of the Saif Group. Since 1999 he has served as the Chief Executive of a number of the Group companies including Saif Textiles and Kohat Textiles. Mr. Khan joined the Textile Division of the Saif Group in 1995 and is responsible for the continued growth and success of the Division. He is focused on leading the Saif Group to achieve improved growth in revenue and profitability: greater innovation and inventiveness resulting in the best total customer experience for purchasers of Pakistani yarn. In addition to heading the Textile Division, he has also developed a joint venture development philosophy that aims to: Leverage Saif Group project management skills to capitalize on, and participate in, the relocation of production capacity from high cost countries; develop linkages with leading brand owners in the European Textile sector, integrate with downstream operators and consequently move up the value chain; and Offer management services to overseas textile operations.

As a direct outcome, Saif Group developed its first joint venture in textiles with European partners in the highend shirting sector. Mr. Khan has been elected to a number of key appointments at All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) including: Central Vice – Chairman Chairman – NWFP Zone (two terms); Member – Central Managing Committee (two terms). Mr. Khan holds a Masters in Engineering, Economics and Management from Christ Church, the University of Oxford, which he attended as a Britannia Chevening Scholar. This award is made by the Overseas Development Agency (now DFID) - Foreign & Commonwealth Office (UK) after a rigorous and exhaustive nationwide selection process resulting in 10 scholars being selected to represent Pakistan.
